They Said a Storm Was Coming" sweeps you into an 18th-century Caribbean where the air is heavy with the looming threat of iron. Captain Ashton Levi sails through treacherous waters, haunted by a past he cannot outrun and a future he isn't sure he’ll survive to see.
As a relentless enemy fleet closes in, the suspense tightens like a bowline. But amidst the preparation for a final, shattering confrontation, a different kind of storm brews. Between the shared glances on the quarterdeck and the quiet tension in the captain's cabin, an intense romance unfolds—one that offers a glimpse of peace in a life defined by war.
With the Caribbean's fate hanging by a thread, Levi and his crew are pushed to the breaking point. When the cannons finally roar and the ocean turns to fire, the ultimate question remains: in the face of total destruction, what are you willing to sacrifice for the one you love?
Experience a nautical epic where the action is breathless, the suspense is bone-chilling, and the romance is as vast and untamable as the sea itself.
This book is a direct companion piece to my first novel, Scorched Earth, which tackled the massive weight of the world's perception and the brutal reality of living with military-related mental health symptoms like PTSD, Depression, Anxiety, and Insomnia. While that first novel described my outlook on life—the constant internal battles and the decisions that ran through my mind as I simply tried to navigate day-to-day life—this latest story is where I truly open up.
The Internal Abyss is based on my true, deeply personal experiences. Over time, my memory has inevitably faded, yet I see my military service, both the recent past and the distant past, as the foundational experience that shaped me. This book became my chance to share with those closest to me—with you—some of the pivotal events that led me to understand who I was, who I am now, and what I strive to be as a father, husband, and human being.
Placing these words on paper was everything but easy. It was an act of reflection, a necessary step in acknowledging the progress I’ve made. Within these pages, you will meet some key, important people—the individuals who contributed directly to my recovery. Without their unwavering support, the ending of my story would have been drastically different, perhaps an ending I wouldn’t have been able to convey on paper at all. This book is, in part, an homage to them.
As you read this, I ask for no pity. I am one veteran who was fortunate enough to find help among the resources available. Instead, please use this story as a reminder. Remember the profound sacrifice of those who served and are no longer with us, and remember those who are still struggling in silence today.
Thank you for being part of my journey and for offering me the support that makes my future possible.
Semper Fidelis.
You had it all. The kind of life others only dream of: a beautiful family, a picture-perfect existence. Until the nightmare tore it apart.
Now, trapped in a twisted choose-your-decision psycho-horror, you're forced to navigate a labyrinth of your own shattered mind. Every second counts as you battle the crippling weight of PTSD, the suffocating grip of anxiety, the hollow ache of depression, the explosive surge of anger, and the raw, untamed echoes of your military history.
There's only one way out of this hell, and the clock is relentlessly ticking.
You must make a decision, quickly!
In the seemingly tranquil town of Gig Harbor, the seasoned and once-complacent Sergeant Jack Reiner finds his tenured position shattered by a gruesome murder that rips through the community. As the chilling details of the crime emerge, Reiner is thrust into a high-stakes hunt for an elusive killer, a case that quickly spirals beyond anything he's encountered before. With every step toward the truth, he's met with a relentless barrage of obstacles, from uncooperative witnesses to dead ends, making an already complex investigation even more fraught.
As the body count rises and public fear intensifies, Sergeant Reiner battles not only the unknown assailant but also the pervasive negative public perception of the police department. Each misstep or delay fuels the media's scrutiny and the town's growing mistrust, threatening to derail the investigation and shatter his career. Reiner finds himself in a desperate race against time, not just to catch a murderer, but to restore faith in the badge he proudly wears and confront the chilling reality that the face of persecution might be closer than he ever imagined.
Will Jack Reiner overcome the internal and external pressures to unmask the killer and bring justice for the community, or will he become another victim in the crosshairs of a ruthless enemy and a skeptical public?
What if everything you thought you knew about the universe, and your own spiritual being, was about to be irrevocably changed?
Dr. Michael Rowland, a genius fueled by an unshakeable belief in science, has cracked the code of time travel. His mission: to journey into history's most hallowed moments, armed with scientific rigor, and dismantle the very foundations of faith he's always rejected. But from the terrifying, orchestrated beauty of creation itself to the astonishing spectacle of biblical wonders, Michael is about to discover that some truths are too vast, too breathtaking, and too profoundly spiritual to be contained by any equation.
"The Thirteenth Disciple" is a high-stakes intellectual and deeply personal thrill ride, propelling a skeptical mind into an encounter with the truly miraculous, urging him toward a spiritual understanding he never sought. This isn't just a book; it's an invitation to confront the grandest questions of all, where the boundaries of science dissolve, and the past reveals a spiritual destiny you never imagined
It's a desolate winter, several nautical miles from the Alaskan coastline, in the estranged waters between Russia and the United States. There lies the Restricted Intelligence Penitentiary, a prison for the world's absolute worst criminals. Jonathan Rowan is admitted there for his brutal and inhumane crimes against humanity, where he grapples with the haunting presence of cursed death. In his fight for truth and understanding, while battling for his life amongst the concrete walls and steel doors, will he find absolute perdition?
